Virtual Therapy for New York & Massachusetts

Therapy where you're a partner, not a patient

I'm Maria, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with fifteen-plus years of experience. I have expertise in my field, but you are the expert in your life. The most effective growth and healing happens when we collaborate: we'll explore your past experiences and figure out the way forward that best fits for you, personally.

Your Words Stay Private

You've Been Carrying This Longer Than You Needed To

Maybe it looks like a mind that will not stop running worst-case scenarios, a flatness that has drained the color from things you used to love, or relationships where you keep abandoning yourself to keep the peace. Maybe you have already done therapy, understand exactly where it all comes from, and still feel the old reactions firing anyway.

That gap between knowing and feeling is precisely where my work lives. Insight matters, and it is rarely enough on its own. The approaches I use target where old experiences actually live: in memory, in the body, and in your patterns of attachment.

How I Help

Virtual therapy for teens and adults across New York and Massachusetts, in the areas where my training and experience run deepest.

Meet Maria

NY LCSW #087032 | MA LICSW #1140891

MSW, NYU Silver School of Social Work

I'm a therapist working virtually in New York and Massachusetts with teens and adults, specializing in anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and complex trauma. My approach is warm, open, and direct: I will help you see the patterns that are not serving you, without shame or judgment.

Over fifteen-plus years I've worked in community mental health, integrated care, and private practice, and I've trained continuously in EMDR since 2021, most recently in Relational EMDR. That depth matters, because the therapist you choose shapes what becomes possible.

A Commitment You Won't Find Everywhere

This Is an AI-Free Practice

A growing number of therapy platforms record, transcribe, and process sessions with AI tools, often without clients fully realizing it. I have made the opposite choice. No AI note-takers, no transcription software, nothing that stores or shares what you say.

Therapy only works when you can say the unsayable. That requires knowing, with certainty, that your words stay in the room.

Questions People Ask Before Reaching Out

I am currently accepting new clients. The first step is a free 25-minute consultation, usually scheduled within the same week you reach out. If we decide to work together, your first full session typically follows within one to two weeks.

All sessions are virtual, so you can be located anywhere in New York or Massachusetts. Clients join from city apartments, home offices, upstate towns, and Boston suburbs, and the work is equally effective in all of them.

EMDR helps most when something from your past keeps intruding on your present: memories, reactions, or beliefs about yourself that logic cannot budge. The free consultation is where we assess whether EMDR, talk therapy, or a blend of both fits your situation.

I do not use AI note-takers, transcription services, or any tool that records or shares session content. What you say in session stays between you and me, and that commitment is written into my privacy policy.

Intake sessions are $275 and ongoing 50-minute sessions are $250. I am an out-of-network (OON) provider, so I confirm coverage details with you first, support you in claiming out-of-network reimbursement, and hold a limited number of sliding scale spots.
